Starting from the abdication of Charles Habsburg and its circumstances, the article undertakes to anamnesis the formation of the Law on the Habsburgs and the consequences of its enactment, both in terms of the Spacecraft banishment and emigration of the members of the family, as well as the acquisition, distribution and destination of their property, from 1918/19 to the present day, that is, in the subsequent forms of government that passed the Austrian Republic; from the first republic, through the years of fascism of the country and Anschlussu to the Third Reich, to the modern republic (since 1955).On this timeline, until the final national exhibition in the centenary of the abdication - "Snatches and Continuations" 2019, the analysis examines the ambivalent attitude of austrians to the former imperial family along with the constitutional Pouches element of this relationship: the unworked history of the Habsburgs in the collective memory of Austrian society.
